STEP 9: Unit Movement – Satellite/Mars:
In Player order, Players may now move their Squishy and Crunchy units from the Satellite to the surface of Mars via the lines connecting Mars to the Satellite orbit and around on the surface of Mars.
Unit Movement From Satellite:
Squishy and Crunchy may move from the Satellite to the ground via the connecting Drop Lines and around on the surface of Mars in any order the Player chooses and/or by playing a MNYCard which allows for alternate movement. If an unexplored hex is revealed by a unit dropping from a Satellite and the unit cannot enter because of the terrain type or lack of sufficient available movement, then it remains on the Satellite with its movement ended.
Unit Movement on Mars:
Squishy standard movement allowance is 4. Crunchy standard movement allowance is 8. As units they enter an unexplored hex, that hex is flipped over to reveal its terrain and movement cost to enter the hex. Consult your Company card for terrain movement cost. If the unit has enough movement points to enter a revealed hex, it must! If the unit cannot enter because of terrain or lack of movement points, the unit “bounces” back and stays in its originating hex with its movement ended. Any revealed hexes stay revealed. Unit Movement Through Occupied Hexes:
If a Player moves into any hex occupied by another Company’s units, movement for ALL units occupying that hex must cease and battle will be determined in the THIRD QUARTER Combat (unless allowed by Alien Tech or MNYCards). |
